From Cincinnati, Ohio
Eytan Elbaz (b. Cincinnati, Ohio) is a serial entrepreneur called "potentially the most important person in LA tech" (Built In LA). He is the younger brother of Gil Elbaz and a Venture Partner at TenOneTen Ventures. In 1999, Eytan co-founded Applied Semantics (originally Oingo Inc.) with Gil and Adam Weissman. The company created CIRCA contextual advertising technology and launched AdSense in December 2000. After winning "Best of Show" at Internet World, the company was acquired by Google for $102M in April 2003 — Google's largest acquisition at the time. At Google, Eytan served as Head of Domain Channel, growing AdSense for Domains from $13M to $600M annual revenue over 4.5 years. AdSense now generates ~$40B annually. In 2011, Eytan co-founded Scopely (with Walter Driver, Ankur Bulsara, Eric Futoran), which became one of the largest mobile gaming companies (MONOPOLY GO!, The Walking Dead). Scopely was acquired by Savvy Games Group for $4.9 billion in July 2023. He also co-founded Render Media (grew Cooking Panda from 750K to 12M+ followers; Inc. 5000 #101 in 2016), Social Native (influencer marketing), Deep Dive Media (SupportGroups.com), Afterparty (Web3 creator economy; $3M seed from Acrew + TenOneTen), and most recently ReadyAI (enterprise AI; flagship product AcquiOS for commercial real estate underwriting). Named a Top 100 Seed Investor globally (Business Insider, 2021) with a self-described "62X" seed portfolio.
